Bridgwater’s King Square to get lick of paint

King Square in Bridgwater is due to get a £14,000 “wash and brush up” over the next couple of weeks, a Sedgemoor District Council spokesperson has said.

Works to the railings which surround the square will include rubbing down, making good and repainting.

The paving and stonework that criss-crosses the grass and flower beds will also be repaired.

The council spokesperson said that it would be necessary to have certain parking restrictions around the square at differing times to accommodate the work.

Parking is monitored by Somerset County Council.

A specialist company from Devon will be doing the work, following a tendering process, the council spokesperson added.
